Pioneer Fair 9-18-2010

Sack races.


Ring Toss.


Candle making.
Cook stove with beef jerky hanging to dry.

Smoke house for making smoked jerky (smoke went through a pipe in the ground from the fire pit to the little house where the meat was hung).

Yarn dyed naturally with poke berries, and marigolds. There are also culchabur plants, and black walnuts in the picture that they used for other colors.

"Milking" the cow again--they really like it! It was a plastic bucket with nipples on the bottom of it and water in it.
